About Jean and Freedom Touch Healing

Jean Knutson, LMT has a passion to help others achieve freedom in their lives. As a licensed massage therapist in the State of Oregon and Nationally Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (OR license #13121), she is also a Reiki Master, Certified Aromatherapist and the only certified Emotional Transformation Practitioner in the state of Oregon.

Jean grew up on a farm in North Dakota where she learned to love life in all forms and developed a desire to help everyone and everything be healthy and happy.  Much of her life she has nurtured and supported others – whether through her jobs in management, care ministry in her church, care-giving, or raising her four children.  Now, with her children mostly grown, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to comfort and facilitate healing through massage, lymphatic drainage, acupressure, Reiki, aroma therapy, and Emotional Transformation therapy.

Jean’ s education includes:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from NDSU
- Massage Therapy from East West College in Portland
- Certificate in Aromatherapy from the Australasian College of Health Sciences
- Usuii and Karuna Master Training from Northwest Wellness Center
- Lymphatic Drainage from the Upledger Institute
- High Performance Lymphatic Massage and Deep Tissue Massage from the Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy and Massage
- Emotional Transformation Therapy (EmoTrance™) from the Sidereus Foundation

Jean also has training and experience in:

- Acupressure
- Working with the Extraordinary Meridians (our Radiant Joy Circuits)
- Hot Stone (which she incorporates into most sessions)
- Working with fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, cancer and lymphatic stagnation

Jean lives in Forest Grove, Oregon, with her husband and youngest son, a dog, a cat and a horse.  She is also now thrilled to be a grandmother to three precious little ones.
